Who makes up our team?

Dr. Phillip Clampitt (Ph.D. Organizational Communication, University of Kansas), is the Hendrickson Professor of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in the Information Sciences Program. Phil consults on communication issues with a variety of service and manufacturing organizations, such as Pepsico, Nokia, American Medical Security and The Boldt Company (view our list of clients). Phil is a returning guest speaker at the U.S. Army War College where they use his book, Embracing Uncertainty, in their Strategic Leadership class.  In addition to many guest speaking opportunities in the U.S., he also speaks internationally at places such as The University of Pisa, The University of Aberdeen, The University of Ulster, as well as to numerous multi-national businesses and professional organizations.

His book, Communicating for Managerial Effectiveness (3rd edition) is a best-seller for Sage Publications. His other book, Embracing Uncertainty: The Essence of Leadership (with Robert DeKoch, also translated in Italian) focuses on one of the greatest challenges facing leaders today-the effective management of uncertainty. Phil has published in various journals including: MIT Sloan Management Review, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Change Management, Ivey Business Journal, Journal of Communication Management, Journal of Business Communication, Management Communication Quarterly, Journal of Broadcasting, and Communication World. 

Ms. Laurey Berk (MBA) was on the faculty at UW-Green Bay for many years teaching personal and corporate finance.  Most recently, she developed and instructed Business and Professional Communications, a skills-based course aimed at enhancing written and oral communications in the workplace.  She also used her experience as a stockbroker and financial planner to design and conduct personal financial planning seminars for the Green Bay Packers. In her consulting work, she conducts management training in areas such as public speaking, written communication skills, and meeting management; conducts organizational communications assessments through surveys and interviews; and assists companies with planning communication strategy for organizational changes.
 

Dr. Lee Williams (Ph.D., University of Oklahoma) is a Professor in the Department of Speech Communication at Southwest Texas State University, where he has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching. He works with Metacomm in research design, survey development and analysis.





 

Dr. Tim Meyer (Ph.D., Ohio University) holds the John P. Blair Endowed Chair in Communication and is the Chair of Information Sciences/Communication at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.  He has published nearly 100 books, book chapters, and journal articles on various issues in communication, including the impact of media content (advertising, entertainment, and news/information) on different audiences. He has presented over 200 research papers at conferences and seminars in the U.S. and other countries. Tim also consults in organizational communication and development and advises major corporations and radio/TV networks. He has also been an expert witness and consultant to numerous law firms in the U.S.


Dr. Cal Downs
is one of the "founding fathers" of the discipline of organizational communication. He is the author of numerous books, including Assessing Organizational Communication: Strategic Communication Audits by Cal Downs and Allyson D. Adrian. He works with Metacomm in auditing communication satisfaction and conducting focus groups. His specialty is international communication.
 





Ms. Kimberly Follett
has a degree in graphic design and organizational communication from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She is a multimedia specialist and web developer. Her expertise is in E-Commerce, Internet and Intranet development.

Dr. Allyson Adrian (Ph.D., University of Maryland) works with Metacomm on organizational and cross-cultural communication issues. She teaches in the Business School at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.).

Mr. Derek Geffers has a degree in Information Sciences from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.  He is a web developer and professionally certified computer technician.  His expertise includes desktop and mobile hardware, Microsoft Windows operating system environments, and ASP / JavaScript web development.
